Do we know what happened during the Dawn Cataclysm in Forgotten Realms? Everyone knows about the Time of Troubles, but after much web-browsing and reading many a quaint and curious volume of Realms lore, I'm still just as clueless as when I started. I'm trying work out a campaign backstory that involves Moander and Jergal (pre-Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul), so any information about this so-called Cataclysm (or any leads) would be much appreciated.

Sammael There is virtually no information on the Dawn Cataclysm, and the authors want it to stay that way.

Here's what is known (from memory):

-Lathander started it
-Tyche was split into two separate entities, Tymora and Beshaba
-Murdane, a lesser goddess of pragmatism and Helm's consort, was killed
-It didn't directly effect Faerun
-The timestream it took place in is different from the one mortals operate in
-Other gods were presumably killed or changed

blindrage And the best part is Lathander is trying to do again!!! You think some folks would learn from their mistakes but nnoooooooo. Just blame on Shar and start over again.

My long-term campaign is named The Rebirth for a reason. :D

Thanks for the info. Any leads as to the sources on this? I heard from a friend that Lathander was trying to elevate himself above the other deities, remake Faerun in his own image, that sort of thing, but no source on that, either. :\
