Home of the four murdered UI students to be demolished

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The UI Argonaut reports that the home on King Rd., the site of the four student murders in Moscow, Idaho, will be demolished.
Scott Green, President of the University of Idaho announced Friday plans to demolish the home and establish a scholarship fund and memorial garden in honor of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves.
The Argonaut reports that the homeowner granted the University of Idaho ownership of the King Rd. property. According to UI Senior Director of Communications Jodi Walker, the home will be demolished in the interest of moving forward and deterring sensationalized media. "We're really determined to maintain their dignity. There's definitely still interest (in the house.)"
"We will never forget Xana, Ethan, Madison, and Kaylee," Green wrote in a release announcing the planned demolition. "I will do everything in my power to protect their dignity and respect their memory. Together we will rebuild and continue to support each other."
